Suburban Mansion Home

The entry foyer is located midlevel between the lower and upper levels. On the upper level, you enter into a hall that leads to an open living and formal dining space.

An oak wet bar is built into the space, and glazed doors look out to the wrap-around deck. A stone hearth sits next to the dining area, so you may have warm meals by the fireplace. The kitchen level is located a few steps above the living space, and is divided from the dining area by an open railing. A walk-in pantry, which features a dumbwaiter to the lower level, sits off of the kitchen, and is large enough to hold an extra freezer. The kitchen is very spacious, and has a center island with an extra sink and a 6–burner stove. The breakfast nook has glazed doors that lead to the deck outside. A half bath is located down the hall, and the rest of this level is devoted to the master bedroom suite. In the master bedroom, there are doors that lead to the exterior deck and a luxurious master bath with a Jacuzzi tub and a large shower. From the bathroom, doors lead to the cedar walk–in closet, which features a separate vault/closet area.

Suburban Mansion Design

Suburban Mansion is a split–level house, originally built on a moderately sloped lot. The stepped stairwell from the street to the entry may be built with a more simple wood railing, or may have brick planters to make a bolder statement.

On the lower level there are three bedrooms, a full bath, a laundry room, a recreation family room, and a garage. The family room is quite cozy, with a fireplace in one corner, and doors that lead to the wrap–around deck, which mimics the one above.
