Spellman Victorian Home
This classic Victorian is reminiscent of the Queen Anne style with a wrap around porch, bay windows, trim details, and corner turrets with conical roofs. Bay windows line the octagon shaped turrets and rooms, which bring in plenty of sunlight, and a variety of outside views.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom suite with an octagon shaped sitting area that is located above the downstairs sitting room. The five bay windows in this space fill the bedroom with views and sunlight. A soaking tub sits in one corner, and a fireplace, which is located next to it, provides warmth to the room. A door next to the soaking tub leads to the master bath and walk in closet.

As you come off the covered wrap around porch, you enter a small foyer with a living room to the left, and a dining room to the right. The dining room has a window seat, and three bay windows that mimic the octagon shaped rooms found throughout the house.
A door from the dining room leads to a bright kitchen with a center island. The kitchen is open to a breakfast/family room, which has an octagon shaped ceiling, and three bay windows. From here, a small hall leads to a stairwell, a door to a laundry room and a garage, and to a living room. The living room features a fireplace, and an octagon shaped seating area, with 180 degree views to the outside porch. A coat closet and a half bath are located across from the living area.

what is the benefit of having a conical roof?
Does it have a role in maintaining a constant temperature inside the room?
We have houses made of hay, so I was wondering!!
