Rocky Mountain Home
This cedar shingled home was originally built with views to the mountains. The second floor has abundant skylights for maximum light and views, while providing privacy from neighbors. It has a unique eave design, which adds character as well as extra weather protection.
As you go up the U–shape stairwell, you can look down the center opening to the lower levels. The upstairs is well lit with the many skylights, including the bathrooms. At the far end of the hall is the master bedroom suite, with a walk–in closet and a bath, which has a steam shower and a double sink. A second bedroom is located off of the stairwell, along with a full bath. The Master Bedroom and Bedroom 2 have a 10' high flat ceiling that follows the slope of the roof at the end walls. A large third bedroom sits over the entire garage, providing plenty of space and storage.
Rocky Mountain Design
The private lower level is perfect for guests, or for kids to use as a TV/play area, with a grassy lawn and patio just outside the door. It has an open family room, an office/exercise area, a mechanical/utility room with laundry, and a bedroom with a full bath.
After entering the house off of the wraparound deck, you enter an open living room with a mudroom directly to the left. The mudroom provides room for a bench and a coat closet, and is conveniently located next to the garage. The single garage has extra space for a shop or storage. The living room is open to the kitchen and dining room, and a center island with an eating area separates the different spaces. A pair of doors leads to the wraparound deck, which brings you back to the entry. Beyond the kitchen are a pantry, a powder room, and a stairwell.
