Traditional Splendor Home

The stone veneered covered entry leads to a two story foyer space that looks up to a balcony, and rises to a coved barrel ceiling above.

As you walk under the balcony, the ceiling is also coved, and opens up to a voluminous ceiling as you enter the gathering room. The two story gathering room mimics the foyer ceiling, and allows picture windows to reach the full two story height. The gathering room is open to a kitchen, which has a large center work island, and a center counter that separates the kitchen from the breakfast room.

The breakfast room has a door leading to the back terrace, and is lined with windows along two walls. A center fireplace sits in between the breakfast room and keeping room, warming the two spaces in the wintertime. Next to the kitchen is a secondary staircase, a pantry, a laundry room, a mud room and a two–car garage. The mud room opens onto a covered trellis, which leads to a third garage space that features a curved bay window.

Traditional Splendor Design

To the left of the foyer are a powder room, a formal dining room, and a decorative wine cellar. The wine cellar is finished with brick veneer, which includes the barrel ceiling above. To the right of the foyer is a library with a two–story barrel ceiling, and a master bedroom suite. The master bedroom has three bays of windows for maximum sunlight, and a vaulted ceiling. The "roman" styled master bath has a dome ceiling, which is centered over a round whirlpool tub. Steps lead down to a custom shaped shower, and a door leads to his/her walk-in closets.

On the upper floor, the oversized balcony looks down to the foyer and gathering room, and is wide enough to have a built–in bookshelf. The balcony opens up to a window seat, which creates a perfect space to sit and read. Each of the three bedrooms on the upper floor has its own private full bath, as well as walk–in closets. Near the secondary staircase, there is an oversized game room, which features a vaulted ceiling and a wet bar.

Traditional details ranging from gothic arches to exposed timbers result in a beautifully crafted home that abounds with character. The interior is no less impressive, with arched windows and openings, and a combination of flat, vaulted, and barreled ceilings. The coupling of traditional architectural elements and contemporary details create a truly luxurious house.
