I'm not yet ready for summer to go - just the heat! There have been lots of great blogs on the ever-classic nautical style and I just can't resist adding one more to the mix. I was further inspired to cover the subject when I recently saw some of Sweet Sara's new art at Bed & Bungalow and today's sale on OKL featuring Nautical Models.

Have you ever seen a more clever headboard/slipcover? It's an actual sail. Talk about re-purposing. I also adore the large porthole mirror over the bed. Feels like you are in a ship cabin without having sea legs.

Bedroom Nautical

Most coastal homes today paint over the exposed pine walls and ceilings (like the room below). I'm usually on this "boat" (no pun intended) but do love the way that the original finish is highlighted in this room. The polka dot sofa cushions bring a smile to my face.

Inspired by the sea and season, Sara just added these great pics to her etsy shop, Bed and Bungalow. I love the series of four sea creatures above. And, what nautical room couldn't use a great anchor?You may have already seen this image from a previous post on the shop, but I just adore the fish above the bed. And, those Dransfield & Ross Pillows - Perfect!
